The User Voice and Participation (UVP) Team within Surrey County Council are planning a celebration event for all young people in Surrey to celebrate their achievements throughout this year.
The first ever virtual Recognising You Awards will be taking place on Friday 18 December 2020. The event will be taking place virtually using the video conferencing application Zoom. Details and instructions on how to access this will be sent out to young people who have been nominated closer to the event date.
This year has been an incredibly challenging year for children and young people, and we want to be able to recognise as many of them as possible. The awards categories for the Recognising You Awards are as follows:
- Achievement
- Contribution
- Perseverance and Progress
All young people aged 0-25 in Surrey will be eligible to be nominated for the Recognising You Awards. Young people do not have to have accessed a Surrey service to be eligible. All young people nominated for an award will receive a certificate either electronically or a paper certificate will be sent out to them.
How to Nominate
Nominations will be taken online for this event. You are able to nominate a young person for an award using the link: www.surreysays.co.uk – Recognising You Awards 2020.

Further event details will be released in due course. For further information, or if you require any assistance, please email us on user.voice@surreycc.gov.uk. Once you have submitted your nomination, we will contact the nominee with further information and details about the event.
